Pen Pal Program with a Senior

We are seeking children and youth in the community to participate in a Pen Pal program with the Seniors of our community.  It is our hope that we can bring some joy to their lives and as a bonus, you get to know each other!

By registering and participating, your name will be entered to win a gift card to a local business!

How will this work?

• After you register, write a letter and bring it to the Niverville CRRC Front Desk, 501 Centre St.  (no postage required for your first letter)
• After the deadline of December 3rd, we will hand the letters off to our partners at Service to Seniors, who will then distribute the letters to the appropriate recipients. 
• Your return letters will be sent to you in the mail and we encourage you to continue the conversation! (via mail) 
• Cost: The program is free to register, however you will need to buy postage (stamps, envelopes) if you choose to continue!

Please place letter in an envelope and clearly mark the following information on the front:

From: [your name AND your mailing address] so they can mail you back!

Ideas for your letters:

• Draw a picture
• Use a Christmas card, make a Christmas card, use regular paper, or whatever you have on hand!
• Tell them who you are and how old you are
• Talk about your family
• Tell them your favorite winter activities, favorite food, or what you are most looking forward to at Christmas time
• We encourage hand written letters
• Ask them questions!
